I was Denied the First Disability Hearing, is there a Possibility for a Second Hearing?

In these economically-challenging times, finding your capacity to work and fend for your family taken away by a disability can be one of life’s most cruel blows. The disability itself presents a considerable challenge in terms of the hardship and pain it brings to you and your family, not to mention the sometimes extreme difficulty you might experience trying to adjust to the new situation. It’s only natural that you will want to approach a state agency for compensation to help you rebuild your life. However, your experiences trying to pursue justice may prove to be Kafkaesque with red tape and hurdles to overcome. Although you may think that your disability case is cut-and-dry and you are optimistic that your disability hearing will be positive, the administrative law judge presiding over your disability hearing might take a different view of things. You may be denied which will add to your consternation and adding to your conundrum and troubles.

Despite this, you can take heart in knowing that more than 50% of first-time disability hearings are turned away by the courts. However, the good news is that the chances of your case being successful rise dramatically if you appeal. With no appeal, you will not be considered for compensation.

On Saturday, December 1, 2012, the 11th annual Gainesville Harley Davidson Chili Cook Off will be warming the hearts and bellies of many of those that show up between noon and 4 PM. Proceeds of the event this year are donated to the American Cancer Society. Once again, live music is provided. This year’s band is “Local Traffic”.

Do not be shy, now is the time to show everybody your way around the kitchen. Dust off your mother’s old cookbook, and turn to the page of her Southern “All Fired Up Chili” recipe and get to cooking! This December’s event is sure to be your time to show everyone just how gut pleasing your family’s old chili recipe truly is. We will all be there eagerly waiting with our spoons.

If you happen to live, work, or play at University of Florida, then you might just get the chance to ride the Bagen Bus. Steven A. Bagen & Associates have made it known in to the downtown area of University of Florida`s campus that they are there to help and serve the residents of Florida and have been for over 25 years. If you happen to see a bus ride by, and Steven Bagen is welcoming you onto the bus, don`t be alarmed. The Bagen Bus is scheduled at the Downtown Station and at Butler Plaza, Monday-Friday. The Bagen Bus will run every 10-20-30-60 minutes with the first run for Butler Plaza starting at 6:03a.m. and last run ending at 10:03p.m., and the Downtown route will first run at 6:03a.m. and end at 10:30p.m. Steven A. Bagen and associates are huge proponents of vehicle and motorcycle safety, and also have recently taken part in public service announcement’s promoting vehicle safety, and informing the residents of Gainesville of the most dangerous intersections in Gainesville.
